The song of the day this morning was Yellow Rose of Texas. I sure remember THAT growing up! Fun way to start the day.

Todd’s message was about anger, and I don’t know anyone who couldn’t benefit from giving that a good thinking through. Very specifically, ‘In your anger, do not sin.’ We all get angry; it’s all about our attitude and how we handle it. We have to understand what makes us angry and find a safe outlet for dealing with those feelings. Don’t let anger fester, and control your verbal expressions of anger. A quote he used was ‘A sharp tongue is the quickest way to cut your throat.’ Nothing good comes from losing your temper. My mom used to always remind us that a gentle answer turns away wrath. Focus on the needs of others and not on your anger.

A young boy, Ben, who used to be in our Sunday School class broke his foot at Seabase last night. He may even have to have surgery. Please pray from Ben and his family as they face this ordeal and long healing.

It’s 4:30pm and most of my day after church was spent running around. After church we had a Ministry Fair. Tables were set up and signup sheets were set out, with people manning the individual ministries. Since I’m not teaching regularly these days (I do have to help out next Sunday), I signed up to help with funeral dinners. Mostly I would be available during the day to help.

I had a mix up in yesterday’s Walmart order, so I straightened that out. Then I zipped down to Irwin (Miller’s Crossing Fleatique) and picked up honey. I stopped to get a frozen Coke at Burger King on the way home, then finished up the egg salad for lunch. I have spent the rest of the day working on emails, stories, letters, and now this.

SCRIPTURE of the DAY:

PEANUTS?

It certainly wasn’t for Ben!!

TOMORROW March 24th is:

Flatmates Day; National Cheesesteak Day; National Chocolate Covered Raisin Day; National Cocktail Day.

There were always chocolate covered raisins in the upstairs conference room at Smail’s. I spent A LOT of time up there and it became a favorite! Not sure I’ve had any since… God bless…
