This morning Katrina dropped off 2 car seats to me. She got them at work – so now all the families that transport Cameron can do so safely, without too much fuss. I scrubbed them after work and will give one to Nate as directed.

Car seats
There was a good bit to do at work, and I was somewhat grumpy. Sir Rege told me I should take a vacation — by myself! But he also had some other advise and suggestions for me, too. I promised to make them treats for next week if they would forgive my distress! In all honesty, things were just not going well, with computer programs and a jammed printer and missing documents and just general confusion. I am lucky to have understanding bosses and supportive people to work with.

Maybe Flax Balls….
Chase was just getting moving when I got home – so I did a few small things outside until he was ready to direct the activities. We went mini-golfing at Willowbrook, then got Chick Fil-A.

Checking out where his golf ball landed.

Waiting his turn.

Slate Run Creek. Makes me want to wade in my bare feet!
We were only home a few minutes when Jerome came to finish the underside painting of the top back deck. Everything is done now, and cleaned up and back where it belongs – and I paid him a more than fair fee for an excellent job. Nice guy!

Everything back together.
And just a reminder – tomorrow starts Christmas in July on the Hallmark Channel!

Chase is doing video games with his racing game while I type. I will get something to eat once I’m done here. I have a list for tomorrow, but if Chase comes up with something he wants to do we’ll do that – it’s his last full day here.

QUOTE of the DAY:

PEANUTS?

I NEEDED to hear this today!
TOMORROW June 26th is:
Cancer Wellness Awareness Day; International Rosé Day; National Barcode Day; National Beautician’s Day; National Canoe Day; National Chocolate Pudding Day; National Coconut Day; National Cream Tea Day; National Food Truck Day; National Take your Dog to Work Day; World Refrigeration Day.
I’m thankful for refrigerators! And Tea. Don’t do canoes, and seldom do pudding. No on the coconut day. Barcodes are necessary, I guess! God bless…
On this day in history: 1929 US President Herbert Hoover authorizes the construction of Boulder Dam, now known as Hoover Dam
