My six month dental appointment was this morning. It’s never a perfect outcome, but they said everything looked ok, no issues, no problems. For ME that’s pretty good! I need to get back to using my Water Pic. I was hesitant because the bridge was so new. But I guess it’s in there for better or for worse – so hazard yet forward. They have such calming scenes on their monitors in all the exam rooms.

I went straight to work from there – and Rege was there! He came strait from getting an MRI on his foot – and he does have a torn Achilles Heal which will require surgery. His arms are sore, and black and blue, and his broken ankle is swollen and purple. I did tell him it was a very nice shade…. It was good to see him and talk to him and get the story. Ken put a Red Cross sign on his office door, and a poster on his wall about ladder safety. It would be something Ken would do…

When I went to my car to leave work, there was a little winter willie worm following me. Maybe he needed to go to Giant Eagle!

One stop on the way home (prescription) and then I made lunch. I changed clothes and went outside for a while to work in the yard. I cut the lilacs to the ground down by the shed. There were 4 trunks that I could not cut through, so I’ll have to get help with those. Then I cut back the Rose of Sharon on the hill, so all that’s left will be the Hosta on the top of the hill. Oh – and also I did a thorough job of weed-whacking. Hoping this will be the last of that chores for the season. I even used the blower to clean off the walks and the deck and the driveway.

Just for small trunks left.

Trimmed the Rose of Sharon way back.
Autmn and Cameron stopped on their way home just to say hi, so it was nice to talk to them and get hugs. Cameron wanted cheese, and so did Autmn, so I got them little snack bags with a cookie and a few pieces of cheese. Next time they will have to stay and play a while! She sent me a picture the other night of him in his new PJ’s.

My little cheese-eating PJ guy!
The saga of the driveway pothole continues. I was frustrated with myself that I hadn’t blocked off the repaired area at the top middle of my driveway – and the neighbor turned around in my drive and ran right over it – completely destroying the patch job. I should have put something up as a warning. So when Nate fixed it again, I put an upturned Rubbermaid bin, the 2 empty filler buckets, and a rock. Pretty obvious, right? My trash (today was trash day) was sitting on the far side off the driveway in the grass. The trash guys took everything but the rock! I can’t win. So we just have to take it as it is and see what happens. Bummer.

As good as it’s gonna get.
Kathy and Paul were at South Fork (Texas) today, and also at the George W. Bush library. I think they will have a lovely time. They are visiting several places, homes, and museums.

PEANUTS?

It’s coming!
TOMORROW October 16th is:
National Boss’s Day; National Sports Day; National Dictionary Day; Department Store Day; World Food Day; Global Cat Day.
I will certainly celebrate the best 3 bosses in the world! No sports, though. Food is good, but no cats! God bless…
