Well, it’s 5:30pm and already mostly dark. It feels so much later! I guess it’s just something we have to adjust to – and by the time we do it will be March! In the meantime, we will at least be getting up in the daylight!

I’m almost done with my to-do list – tomorrow I want to clean up the leaves in my front yard again. I think the weather will cooperate. I made sure all the clocks were changed – but my mantle clock (which was Grama Crooks’) will not keep going. The pendulum will not work. Bummer. I put it on the top shelf of the bookcase so it won’t get bumped. The rest are all fixed, even the car. THAT took a bit of fussing to figure out, seeing that I have a different vehicle each time we have to change the clocks!

You can see the two clocks aren’t the same time…
I switched out the Halloween outdoor flags for Thanksgiving, updated the wooden Snoopy calendar, sprayed the Lilac sprouts with weed killer, and put the Halloween light projector away. Also finished paying the 2 bills that I couldn’t do yesterday because of site-maintenance restrictions.

There has been a lot of ‘joking’ on facebook about Halloween ending at 11:57pm and Christmas being in full swing by Midnight! That is evident in my neighborhood. In fact, my neighbor (who mows his grass EVERY DAY (honest, I’m NOT kidding) has his Christmas inflatable reindeer up in his front yard. I can see his antlers sticking up over the house roof. Up the street about 8 houses there is an inflatable cow carrying a trick or treat bag! So there you go!

Rudolph is here!

When I was outside I noticed that my Azalea has a flower blooming. In November!!!

Todd had a good message this morning – we are still in the book of James. His main points were that we shouldn’t focus on the world, but Cling to God – cherish friendships, read our Bible, build others up and look for their strengths. The cross of Christ is more powerful than sin.

After church I stopped at L&L Fleatique. Just to walk around. I found another beany baby cow! I took a picture but you’ll have to take my word for it unless you have been counting!

The newest one is in the very center.
Diane sent me a picture of some Peanuts characters at a farm on the way to Butler this afternoon. How cool is that!

Last night when Cameron, Autmn and Noah stopped, Cameron was ‘riding’ my stuffed turkey – the one Mom made for me decades ago! He thought it was great. The picture is fuzzy because he had sort of a bucking bronco going.

PEANUTS?

TOMORROW November 2nd is:
Job Action Day; National Deviled Egg Day; National Ohio Day; Color the World Orange Day; Be the Impact Day; Look for Circles Day; Traffic Directors Day; World Ballet Day.
We had deviled eggs at Kathy’s on Friday for lunch. Ohio is our neighbor! Orange is an ok color. God bless!
