It’s still Friday! So I have another whole day to get creative and productive. After breakfast this morning I did some emails and laundry. Once that was done, the sun was shining and bright and convinced me to handle an errand. I really want to find new curtains for the newly painted laundry. No luck. But I got the popcorn so I can drizzle it with chocolate tomorrow or Sunday.

This is what I’m looking for. Guess I have to try Amazon!

Yesterday Kelly gave me a box that she bid on – do they call is Bid Box or something? Packages that no one claims and are very inexpensive. It was a Mum blanket and it’s the biggest, softest one I have to date! It’s like an early Mother’s day gift. I love it!

I decided to use up the milk. I had an entire half gallon and it expires in a few days. So I got the potatoes cooking then made the white sauce. It was a late lunch but worth waiting for.

Prepping the soup.

When I looked out the window there were about 3 dozen robins in the front yard and at the neighbors. I have never seen that many robins in one place. I think they know something about spring that I don’t.

Just SOME of the robins.
One heading to the porch but more in the yard.

Once I was sure it was fairly warm enough and sunny, I bundled up and went outside for an hour. There were a few small early spring projects that I could work on. The first was cutting back the dead stalks of Catmint. It filled an entire black trash bag.

I straightened up the little fencing along the side of the shed, then rebuilt two of the mini-walls on the left side of the hill. It felt good to get that done. It was getting colder so I was glad to come inside. I was in here about an hour and saw that it was snowing! I know it won’t stick, and there won’t be accumulation, but if it’s cold enough to snow…

This one, too.

Daffodils are coming up. Won’t be long until we get some blooms.

I’m still trying to be creative for an essay to read at the Skunk Hollow event. I tried to write one earlier but it was too long. I’ll save it for something else and try to come up with something else. In the meantime, I need to iron!

TOMORROW March 8th is:

Be Nasty Day (NOT!!!): Genealogy Day; International Fanny Pack Day; National Peanut Cluster Day; National Proofreading Day; National Urban Ballroom Day; World’s Largest Rattlesnake Roundup.

No SNAKES. Period. Don’t be nasty, ever, unless it’s to pay back a rattlesnake. I’m done with this post!! God bless…
