Gen recommended a book to me to read – Carnegie’s Maid. I’m about half way through and it’s hard to put down. I did a little research on Carnegie’s life and background so I knew what was based on fact. It took me a little longer to clean today because I took too many reading breaks!
Dom came over and cut the grass for me after work. Last mowing for the season. He said he’ll cut for me next year, too – and help shovel if he can do it around work. I’ll be happy for whatever help I can get.

So now it’s 6pm and I have everything for today done. I’ll finish this post, eat supper, and pull out some research I want to double check on Letters to Mary. I’ve been watching too many History Traveler Civil War episodes!!
So that’s it for the evening. Just thinking that I need to put cookie baking on my list. The next 2 weekends are fully booked, so I need to make sure I have a few of the kids’ favorite cookies for Thanksgiving! I might try to draft someone into helping!
