Got my little bit of work done by 10:30, then popped over to help Mike P with a few deals. We got on the subject of ‘longevity’ – Mike will be 90 next month and started in the car business about the same time I did. For me, it was 59 years in June! Will I still be working to make it to 60 years next June?
After lunch of a homegrown tomato and toast I mixed up the Flax Balls for the weekend. Once they were done and chilling in the fridge I decided to go down to Miller’s Crossing to get Honey since I used almost all of it on the Flax balls. I always walk around when I’m there (it’s a fleatique) and I found another Beanie Baby Cow! I’m really on the lookout for skunks but every now and then there is a cow instead!

I stopped on the way home and treated myself to a small frozen Coke! I decided it was time to quit being lazy, so I geared up and weed-whacked the entire yard – then blew it clean. It took me over an hour but it’s all ready for Dom to mow tomorrow.

I got a shower, read a few pages in THE HOMING (last book in the Williamsburg series) then sat down to type. My neighbor sent me a message and said he had about 50 pumpkins in his garden and did I want a few! So I walked over and got 3 and put them on my porch. I will probably get one for Cameron next time they are here. He has a bunch of white ones but they are not ready yet – I love the white ones. I should have taken a picture of the garden – there were pumpkin vines everywhere on his hill!

Also noticed that the sky was blue and pink – nice day tomorrow!
