This is a short post. It was a long but successful day. We got to Hanna’s Town about 9:15am. We had done alot yesterday so the morning was slow. It wasn’t until about 10:50am that we had to get really busy. We plated the sweets – which were all really yummy. My favorite was the little apple crisp tassies. That plate went on the bottom tier.

Sweets were Hershey Kiss acorns, Apple crisp Tassies, pumpkin sugar cookies, and cheesecake bites,
The middle tier is always sandwiches. This tea offered chicken cranberry salad on croissants, ham salad on white/wheat bread, and pimento cheese on whole wheat.

My favorites were the chicken salad croissants.
The top tier is always scones – this time they were maple pecan with apple butter or clotted cream. I brought one home to have for breakfast! Also, sugar frosted grapes.

We have such an efficient friendly team and I personally am thankful for them. They all know what to do and work together very well. And this year we had three fresh helpers for cleanup – which is the longest/hardest part of the day. We got out of there about 4:15pm. I said it wasn’t like a restaurant – we got paid in great food and wonderful friendships! That’s far more valuable.

It was good to get home and settle in for the evening. Kathleen (another team member) took the linens home to launder them – I will probably end up ironing them in the end. I brought home all the dirty kitchen towels and cloths. I’ll return them Thursday or Friday. And that’s a wrap!

But no socks….
