May Day 2025

I felt like we were to be expecting storms today but it’s 6:30pm and nothing yet. It is a little cloudy right now but still very warm. My computer weather icon says rain tomorrow!

Rain starting 10am

As in previous days, I planned on making cinnamon rolls today. But when I got home it was too beautiful to be inside. So I spent almost 4 hours outside. I got everything around the front trees cleaned up, and the the stones straightened.

Between the shrubs – waiting for mulch
Side with the rose bushes.

I got the bare spot cleaned up, too. There were forsythia trunks sticking up from when I cut the bush down, and they were rotted away. So now I can get top soil and then seed it for lawn. Here’s hoping!

The driveway sealant is still disintegrating so I swept and blew it off after I was done weeding for the day. Also took a few flower pictures.

Last year’s new azalea.
Delicate bellflowers.

I was just coming inside when Autmn called. She has to pick Josie (her sister) up a county chorus practice and had an hour to wait. So they came here. Cam was reading his Clifford (Big red dog) book and trying to roast the toy skunk in the fake fireplace!

Cameron eating a chicken nugget.

I still have to update the Snoopy calendar and pay bills and eat supper. Tomorrow I WILL mix up cinnamon rolls!

TOMORROW May 2nd is:

My friend Mary’s birthday; Baby Day; Brothers and Sisters Day; Harry Potter Day; National No Pants Day; National Play Your Ukulele Day; National Space Day; National Truffle Day; National Tuba day; School Lunch Hero Day; Take a Baby to Lunch Day; World Tuna day.

I will celebrate Mary. I can’t play the ukulele or the tuba! I try to wear pants as often as possible. I’d take baby Cameron to lunch but I don’t think I’ll be home! God bless.

Mary and I at Trunk or Treat.
