March 29, 2024

Well, let’s see what my day consisted of today! Along with our morning song, Diane sent me a picture of a bunny tree! I want one…

I started out after breakfast doing laundry, then boiled potatoes and eggs. Tomorrow I will make potato salad and deviled eggs. After that I worked on my Sunday project – again, another surprise.

Happy Easter eggs

I had a mini chipped ham sandwich and finished that up. Then I decided to cut the grass! My weed whacker had a broken part (just a cover) but it worked fine. I only weed whacked the back yard. It took me about an hour to do my outside chores but the yard looks very nice for March!

The back yard is starting to look better, but….
…the left corner is still nasty.

I walked around and took a few pictures – things are coming along nicely.

I found a tiny grape hyacinth in the middle of the lawn – so I transplanted it to safety.

I talked to Kelly and we decided Brownies were a good idea – so I buzzed to Irwin Walmart and grabbed about half a dozen things, including ice cream for the brownies for Sunday! I still have ironing to do this evening. I also have to switch out my winter/spring clothes within the next two week. I’ll need one or two things for vacation next month.

Ironing – more than usual.

Trivia: The average speed of a raindrop is 7 miles per hour.

TOMORROW March 30th is:

Holy/Black/Easter/Silent Saturday; Doctors’ Day; Earth Hour; National Fitness Recovery Day; Write Your Own Story Day; National Folding Laundry Day; National I am in Control Day; National Pencil Day; National Virtual Vacation Day; Take a Walk in the Park Day.

Yesterday’s fake day was Don’t Throw Stones Day (You still shouldn’t). I am never in control of anything these days, but I do fold laundry. I prefer real vacations to virtual ones, and like taking walks in the park. So lots to be celebrating! God bless…

GOOD FRIDAY:

Luke 22: 23-47 When they came to the place called the Skull, they crucified him there, along with the criminals—one on his right, the other on his left. 34 Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”[b And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.

35 The people stood watching, and the rulers even sneered at him. They said, “He saved others; let him save himself if he is God’s Messiah, the Chosen One.36 The soldiers also came up and mocked him. They offered him wine vinegar 37 and said, “If you are the king of the Jews, save yourself.”

38 There was a written notice above him, which read: this is the king of the jews.39 One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: “Aren’t you the Messiah? Save yourself and us!”40 But the other criminal rebuked him. “Don’t you fear God,” he said, “since you are under the same sentence? 41 We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.”

42 Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”43 Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”

44 It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon, 45 for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. 46 Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.”[d When he had said this, he breathed his last.

47 The centurion, seeing what had happened, praised God and said, “Surely this was a righteous man.” 48 When all the people who had gathered to witness this sight saw what took place, they beat their breasts and went away. 4
