Today was a rather difficult day. Mom is having some health issues that we have to deal with, and it has made Kathy’s and my hearts heavy and sad. Thankfully we have a God who holds us in the palm of His hand. We trust that His care of all of us will be perfect and true. I got to work a little before one, and got home about 4:30pm. I did, however, get to talk at great length to Kelly, who is coping well and feeling pretty good, waiting on a care plan for the next month. I had about 15 minutes outside pulling weeds before the thunder rumbled and the rain came down. We need rain SO BAD that it was a beautiful sight!

“You and me and rain on the roof – caught up in a summer shower…” Remember that song???

I listened to Paul’s message from River Hill. This was their first week to meet back in the church, and I could feel the joy radiating from within. They were stepping out to trust God to keep them safe as they worshiped. Paul talked about the Israelites crossing the Jordan on dry ground, and stopping to gather 12 stones from the river bed and build a memorial of thanks. Paul explained that WE, the people of God’s church, are the memorial stones, and people look to us as the examples of God. Scripture says that even the ROCKS will cry out, expressing joy toward God. We need to praise God for all to see – praise him as an expression of joy, praise him for our new birth, and praise him as our living hope – eternity! Let’s all be the best rocks that we can, and PRAISE in all things. ALL things!

Paul – back at River Hill Church!

On this day in 1940 Ringo Star was born in Liverpool England, and Arthur Conan Doyle died at age 71 in 1930. In 1949 Shelley Duvall was born on this day and married on this day in 1970! Today is National Dive Bar Day, National Father/Daughter take a walk Day, National Macaroni Day, and National Strawberry Sundae Day. I did none of that! I think I’ll make it be – – – – National HAT Day! I did wear a hat on my walk this morning! Have a great day, and God Bless!

Had I on a hat, I’d take it off to you ….
