I have all the decorations – inside and out – tucked away and the boxes put back on the shelves. That was no easy feat, as some of the boxes are pretty heavy. I put the heavy ones on the bottom so I could just slide them over and tilt them up! The car is happily back in the garage now.
After all is said and done, the desk space is more open, the Snoopy blanket looks great on the couch, and the ‘recovery blanket’ (purchased for my November surgery!) is on the chair. I’ve only found 4 things that I forgot to put away but I bet I’ll find at least another one before tomorrow.
I’m going to finish this post, get something to eat, and call it a night. Not sure if I’ll make it to midnight but I’ll try! I have my calendars sitting out, but Mom always thought it was bad luck to put them up, or change the months, before the actual day. So I’ll wait until tomorrow!
LAST JOURNAL POST. NO MORE AFTER THIS ONE! December 31 – What special memories do you have of New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day? “My mother & us kids would walk up to visit the Sink family. It was almost always so foggy we walked in the ditch and held hands. Dad went along once in a while. Dad always shot off the shot gun. New Years Day was spent making New Years Resolutions. We took that very serious when we made them.”

TOMORROW, January 1st is:
National Hangover Day; World Day of Peace; Polar Bear Plunge Day; New Year’s Day; National Bloody Mary Day; Euro Day.
I will probably celebrate tomorrow by cleaning my house. Wow, it is dirty. Not cluttered. Just dust and glitter and tinsel and yes, even dead bugs! Can’t wait to get it cleaned up. They say whatever you do on New Year’s Day you will do all year. That’s no surprise. Have a WONDERFUL 2023 and God Bless…. Talk to you NEXT YEAR!
