I spent all morning trying to put things back together that didn’t turn out exactly as expected. Di came over at about 11:30am and we made a Tombstone pizza, salad, and had cookies. Then we popped in a DVD that she got through Netflix – Happiness is a Warm Blanket Charlie Brown. We laughed out loud in a few places. Poor Linus – he sometimes has a rough time holding on to that blue blanket!
So last night Kath and I did go to see I HEARD THE BELLS. I liked it a lot – I prefer light-hearted rom-com’s, but this was a Sight & Sound production (their first actual movie) and based on Henry W Longfellow’s life (true story). There were a few very jarring and sad places but I thought it was very good. I have to say I didn’t really know anything about his life, and I will never hear the carol ‘I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day’ again without thinking of his story and his faith.

December 2 – As a youth, who was your favorite movie star? Why? “Clark Gable – I didn’t see many movies but loved ‘Gone with the Wind.’ He seemed to romantic!!! Gene Autry & Roy Rogers were some others I enjoyed. I liked them because they were always helping the ‘underdog.’ “
Calendar inspiration – Whenever you lose your way, look for meaningful guidance from others who’ve traveled that road before you.

TOMORROW December 3rd is:
I am thankful to have a roof over my head – but as windy as it’s been I am also thankful it didn’t blow away! I will not be playing outside tomorrow – I am going to a Christmas luncheon at Camp Christian tomorrow. I hope you do something very fun with your Saturday. God bless…
