Pizza for supper! It was only a $3 frozen one but it sure tasted good after being on the go all day. After the 6am Walmart grocery run, sweeping and wiping out my car, a quick walk, breakfast and a shower, I worked the Jeannette store. I finally was able to get my crown (tooth) re-cemented, then on to the Greensburg store. After lunch I ran a quick errand, paid bills, and watched a few School Buses go past. Peppermint Patty had her own thoughts on that!

Life’s recess! Not enough!!!

Kelly sent me a text that my friend the butterfly was back, and waiting on my return. I’ll be back there on Thursday so hopefully we’ll reunite then! It seems with the onset of September the cooler weather has set in, even though it’s a bit early for that. But I have my pumpkin from AJ/UC sitting on my back deck beside my sunflower light so I’m ready!

Please pray for Kelly, as her surgery is in the morning at 9:30am. God’s got this!

Tonight I listened to Paul’s message from River Hill entitled I saw the light. It’s based on Saul’s conversion and experience on the road to Damascus. Three points are how Saul handled the light, how we handle the light, and how the world handles the light. Saul saw the bright light that sent him to his knees on the road, but God didn’t deal with him there. He had to go on to the city and wait three days on the Lord, fasting and praying. Saul was chosen for God’s work, a totally different agenda than what Saul (now Paul) had been doing! WE should shine our lights for God, and open our eyes to the light; be transformed. The light sines through good works and we reflect God’s light. God uses everyone who is willing. The WORLD wants to destroy the light. We have to be on the alert so we are not deceived. Our goal should be to help each other shine for Jesus.

On this day in 1952 the Liberty Bell arrived in Philadelphia, and in 1945 V-J Day marked the formal surrender of Japan to mark the end of WWII in the US (September 2nd in Japan). Gunsmoke went off the air in 1975.

TOMORROW, September 2 is:

Let your light shine, pray for my daughter and all those who need to feel God’s light in their lives, and have a blessed day…
