The washer repairman was here at 9am. He’s a neighbor and I’ve known him for years. He checked out several settings on the washer and tested the spin cycles and controls. They all worked perfectly! So he gave me some hints as to what to look for, and some advise on how to handle it. I don’t understand what made the spin cycle NOT spin but all is well so let’s just move on. I got the update on his girls (one of whom I know fairly well) and we traded vacation stories! He and his wife are going to Nashville to see Amy Grant and Vince Gill at the Ryman! On my bucket list!

When he left I went to work – but the deals were still in funding. So I helped Mike P. out with a deal, stopped at Walmart for ice and a birthday card, filled the Jeep with gas for the trip, and got home about noon. I ate a quick bite of lunch, then got the leaf blower out of the shed and cleaned off the driveway. Since I was at it, I cleaned up part of the front yard, too, and collected three bags of leaves. It’s not perfect but it’s a little neater.

The rose bush is thriving – it’s looking on…..
Nate got started on the driveway while I worked on the yard.

First part done.

Parking out front.
Rege called this afternoon to update me. His surgery is next Wednesday. I guess there is a very lengthy recovery and healing. Possibly 12 to 18 months! And about 6 months of little or no weight on it. This is going to be along process. Sending healing prayers!

Except it’s his right leg….
I also took the 2 sets of battery lights down from the decks. I got tired of going outside late at night to turn them off. They weren’t what I thought they were when I bought them – I thought they were solar.

Deck railing without lights – and a peek at the driveway.
Nate finished up the driveway and I went inside and did a little cleaning, then finished the ironing. We got everything cleaned up and put away before he left. So that’s it for another day!

Driveway finished!
