A huge thanks to Beth for letting me know that the Word Garden didn’t post last night. Sometimes it gets stuck between the two sessions and I have to give it a nudge!!!
After yesterday’s long work day, today was very quick. Got everything done, stopped at the bank, and was home by 11am. I had some cauliflower and ranch dip, then went outside for a bit. It sure was the perfect day to get some fresh air and sun without melting! I cleaned the dead stalks of Dutch Iris from the corner by the flag and from the right side of the hill by the Pinky Winky.
There were a few on the center section of the hill, and I cleaned them out and trimmed back some little feathery plants that I have no idea what they are! Also cut back the dead Rose Campion.
Another shade of Gladioli are blooming – I love both the dark purple and the bright pink. And the new butterfly bush is the most gorgeous shade of blue! Amazing!
Di sent me a txt this morning that she spent yesterday hiking in the woods near Johnstown – here are two lovely waterfalls that added to the serenity of the day for her!
I’m listening to Biltmore Christmas while I type. It’s just such a fun movie!
I’m meeting my former neighbor Ginny for dinner this evening – the one with the new grandson. Hope to see more pictures! If I remember to take pictures I’ll post tomorrow.
My blessing today is fresh air and sunshine.
PEANUTS Thought for the Day:
TOMORROW July 3rd is:
Air Conditioner Appreciation Day; American Redneck Day; Disobedience Day; International Drop a Rock Day; International Plastic Bag Free Day; National Chocolate Wafer Day; National Fried Clam Day; National Stay Out of the Sun Day; National Eat Your Beans Day.
Yesterday’s fake day was national Glitter Day. Tomorrow let’s appreciate our A/C, everyone! That’s it for me — although Christina would say that Peyton is the most redneck person she’s ever met – and I love my grandson — so celebrate him, too! God bless.
