I can’t believe it’s Friday already, and that the day is almost done. It was a full day but nothing really exciting to write about. After a shower and breakfast (a small slice of my coffee cake!) I did a load of laundry. I also managed to pick up some sticks and twigs in the yard. My neighbor cut his grass for the second time this week. I’m not ready yet!
Even though there are predictions of rain, wind and even flurries I decided to tackle cleaning the windows. I didn’t concentrate too much on the runners or the sills. I just wanted to be able to see clearly outside! It didn’t take long and I’m excited about it feeling clean. It does still smell like vinegar in the house. With all the high-tech cleaning products and procedures I still use the old-fashioned vinegar and water and paper towels!
For lunch I had my carrots sautéed in brown sugar and some cauliflower. Folded the laundry, than went for a walk. Every day I find a new little patch of spring flowers blooming.
I also printed out my bank statement and will balance my checkbook after I’m done here. I do have a few emails to answer, but first I headed over to the store to get a new multi-plug outlet. The old one seemed to me malfunctioning now and then. I wonder if that is why my Firestick quit working?
Did I mention that Logan was able to install my new Roku and download/set up all my apps and stations? That was such a blessing! It’s basically the same principle as the Firestick with a few differences. The main one that trips me up is that the volume and mute buttons are on the side of the remote, and when I pick it up I always manage to change the volume or mute the sound! I’ll get it eventually.
On this date in 1904 my grandmother Violet Isabelle Brown Steiner was born. She died in 1977.
Trivia: Who was the first woman to make a million dollars in the U.S.? (Hint – I never heard of her but it’s an amazing story!)
PEANUTS Thought for the Day:
TOMORROW March 9th is:
Bang Clang Day (?); Genealogy Day; International Fanny Pack Day; National Barbie Day (I never had a Barbie!); National Crab Meat Day; National Dishwasher Day; National False Teeth Day; National Get Over It Day; National Scrap Paper Day; National Meatball Day.
I like meatballs well enough. Also thankful for my dishwasher. Tomorrow is, for me, make potato soup day. God bless…
