Despite the cold this morning, and snow still on the ground, the sun was shining and with it the hope of spring! I started the day at Greensburg Pinnacle since Joe needed some titles done early. Then I stopped at WOW outlet to grab some spring/Easter napkins before heading to Jeannette. They did not have much so I came home and had lunch – carrots and cauliflower.
I did laundry and answered a few emails, then went to a meeting at Hanna’s Town. This was our first meeting to plan the spring Victorian Tea, which is May 4th. The meeting was in the Steele conference room. There was still a bit of snow on the tavern roofline.
Joe called me just as I was heading to Kathy’s – I did a U-turn and headed over to help him with a title issue. Then on to Kathy’s. We reviewed our plans for the Biltmore trip, talked about our Skunk Hollow Spring event, and solved the world’s problems. Well, no. But we did talk a lot about frustrations even though we didn’t solve any of them!
She had a lovely supper – sloppy Joe’s, broccoli salad and deviled eggs, with chocolate cake for dessert. Yum. Thank you dear sister! It had been a long time since we had time to really talk. Paul is at a preaching conference until tomorrow. The moon on the way home was amazing: just a sliver of moon showing but you could see the whole outline!
Since I was already bundled up, I changed the bulbs in my front tier lights. There were 6 bulbs out! I truly believe they are getting power surges. Autmn came over to soak in my tub for a while since Noah has Cameron. That completes my day. My Shamrock blanket is calling to me…
TRIVIA: Answer to yesterday’s question was ‘fear of beards’. Never heard of that! Today’s trivia: Thanks to a Boston University professor and his wife, National Napping Day was created to help make up for the hour of sleep lost from daylight savings. Aim for a 20- or 30-minute nap to get more energy without feeling groggy.
PEANUTS Thought for the Day:
TOMORROW March 12th is:
Alfred Hitchcock Day; Equal Pay Day; National Baked Scallops Day; National Girl Scout Day; National Plant a Flower Day; National Sing-a-long Day; National Working Mom’s Day; National Organize Your Home Office Day.
Yesterday’s fake holiday was Woolen Rug Day. I’ll sing, especially if it’s with Country Radio. I would think it’s a little too early for planting anything. But get organized and God Bless…
