I’ll start with yesterday. I had a few deals at work – then a friend called and needed a title done so I stopped there. I expected to spend a few hours in PENNDOT training – the CVR rep had called me repeatedly to set up a training day and time – which we agreed would be Thursday the 14th at 10am for Ken and I. At 10:15 Ken txt him and got an auto reply that he was out of town until after May 18th. I was perturbed at that since he bugged me even when I told him I was out of town on vacation – and then he drops the ball. I didn’t want to do the training anyway…

I stopped at Gabe’s and accidentally got a blanket. Not sure how that happened….

Once I got home and had lunch, I decided to work on Kelly’s pillow cases. She bought material for spring and fall ones, and since I had extra time I figured I could get it done for her. They turned out pretty nice!

Two spring and two fall.
I had just finished pressing off the pillow cases when I started to feel sick. My stomach was queasy and the back of my neck was throbbing, and it made me light-headed. I had to sit down and not move – and I sort of stayed that way – huddled under my new blanket and shivered – for about 4 hours. I finally took a Tylenol, a Tums, and managed a frozen Eggo waffle. I cancelled all my plans for today ( which really upset me – I NEVER do that!) and just slept.

The only flavor I had….
I did feel much better when I got up – but I did so slowly and took my time all day. I had a piece of toast and hot tea about 10am and slowly started to move through the house. Hopefully by tomorrow I’ll feel confident that I can resume all normal activities. But I missed seeing Cameron today and also ushering for Bear at the last play of the season this evening. Bummer š But Autmn sent me a few pictures.

A nice day to be outside

Posing….
One thing I did do – last fall when I took down my outdoor Colonial Flag (13 stars) it was tattered and shredding. I properly disposed of it and ordered a new one. I remembered that I had it and put it up. It’s a very nice one – almost the nicest one I’ve ever had. I put it on the pole upside down and had to take it all apart and redo it. But I love it!

So – now on to part 2 of Tuesday at Gettysburg. We were still on the battlefield driving tour. Lots of information, monuments, and adventures. My favorite were Little Round Top (VERY impressive!) and Devil’s Den. That was something I learned about from one of the History Traveler videos and was excited to see. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll get the end of the driving tour and only have 2 more posts after that to finish up!

What a charge up the hill those soldiers would have had.

Brig. Gen. Gouverneur K. Warren, Meadeās chief engineer.

Pennsylvania monument – with soldiers names posted around the bottom.

Yes….

We didn’t go down there…

It was much smaller than I thought – but very intense.

44 NY monument. Kathy and Kelly walked up.

I stayed down and took pictures!

Brig. Gen. Gouverneur K. Warren, what a view he had of the Confederate charge!

Kathy and Kelly walked up this one, too. I stayed on the ground.

It was an amazingly beautiful day!
