Start out with last night’s bright moon.

Today was a special event at Hanna’s Town – Colors and Conversation, mostly about fabrics and clothing. There was not necessarily a lot of visitors through the center today, but the ones who came were very interested – even a college student who was a history major and could sew her own Medieval clothing. She especially loved it. But honestly, the volunteers and staff are fun to work with, and fun friends!

I snapped a few pictures of some displays in the hall. There is so much to see!

Here are a few of the coloring papers we had set out for the younger visitors, and sent some home with other guests for their children or grandchildren.

During lunch Joanna had a slide presentation of the progression of color methods to popular colors. It’s always fun to learn something new – especially historic!

While we were there a tornado watch came through. Thankfully that did not materialize for our area but I think there was damage elsewhere. There were some fun mugs and crocks in the gift shop – which was a work-in-progress today. It should be open in the next week or so.

I was able to sneak in a few pictures of the sky – it got pretty dark, and shortly after it did start to pour. There was a little thunder in the background but it’s pretty quiet now.

Dramatic sky.

Gen sent me a nice Thank You post card for her visit last week. It was a beautiful scene of cows in the fields. Thanks, Gen, for the thank you!

See the cows?
TODAY I am thankful for Hanna’s Town friends and programs.

MOVIE in 1980:

I really loved this movie! It was amazing what Loretta Lynn overcame!
On this date in History:1955 The musical “Peter Pan,” starring Mary Martin, is broadcast live on NBC as part of the “Producers’ Showcase” series and attracts a then-record 65 million viewers.

Oh my goodness! I cried when I learned that Peter Pan wasn’t real and was actually played by a woman!!! Loved this show. “I WON’T GROW UP!”
